Would a clone 800hd sat tuner fit and work in a real 8000?
And does digit alb cards work and update fine in card slot?

Ive never had any trouble with the Digitalb in my TM6900 or my DM 7000s. It is not the same with Tring - it needs the 4.1 conax[Smit] but there is also a cam that works with it now -Dragon I believe and a softcam - I cant remeber the link!!. Good luck - Brain

There is one company at least in the UK that sells a DVB-S2 tuner as a DM8000 option. I have one in mine, it works well.

There have been loads of posts re this on DM forum - their answer = there are NO official add-on tuners for the 8k - all options use too much power - so beware!

An Alps BSBE2 (DVB-S2) Tuner has been in my DM8000 from day one when i brought it.
Had no problems at all.
