It's time to vote the best HD Linux receiver currently on the market.

Pick your choice and don't let money judge what receiver you would choose, this poll is about the best Linux receiver if money weren't the object.

Just to clarify...are we talking about the best Linux receiver -using the native firmware application-?

Kathrein using Kathrein firmware, IPbox using IPbox firmware, AZbox using AZbox firmware etc etc.

Some receivers have gotten a real 'piggyback ride' on DMMs back using Enigma1/2...DBOX2 using Neutrino and so on.

Spiderbox is not a true Linux box and DM500/600 is not a HD box.

This is only for Linux HD boxes.

It's a shame only 54 people have voted and so many watching the thread vote NOW!!

why not then change thread Title as its very miss-leading

it should read "what is The Best HIGH Def Linux receiver on the market " ?

or "What HIGH Def reciever do you own ? "

as stated unless your a sat dealer its impossible for anyone to pass judgement on all HD recievers mentioned in the above list .

You are ignorant and you can think for yourself that the list of all receivers above are HD.

It seems you are a dealer yourself that can't take that Spiderbox9000 is left out from the list because it doesn't qualify as a Linux receiver.

It is a Super Box and IS a Linux Box and it IS a HD box
And for its Price it is Very Good.

Come on lets be fair Nobody can tell you the Best Box that down to him/her to know.
And just because 10 People say xxxxxxxxx box is the best that don't mean it is.

Update:

DM8000HD is currently the best Linux HD receiver on the market leading with only just one vote.

VU+ Duo is closed behind with only one less vote.

With this you can draw the conclusion that the DM8000 and Vu+ Duo are currently the best receivers on the market, however this can change fast but let it run for a few weeks more and we may have a clearer winner of them both.

Also this will help people who are deciding in what box to buy.

Don't see how I can tell. Haven't tried them all

That is the reason i made this poll so people can decide what Linux receiver to buy, as you can see the DM8K and VU+ Duo are the two most popular receiver by a large margin, people wouldn't buy it if it was a bad receiver.

They got great community support and lots of sites discussing these two boxes

I have both DM8000 and VU+Duo.
I voted for VU+Duo, because its cost : I consider the features are equivalent for my use
