Box stuck on run...

HI Guys my box is stuck on run... after updating my channels with dr edit
the box restarted. the box power up but now get stuck on the run... command. any help would be great as i have no idea what to do or how to restore the firmware.

do a search for *.fdu (from your computer) and copy it off the box (in case) and then delete it.

then try rebooting...

Hi i cannot find the fdu file on my computer, is there any other to get the fdu file. thanks

i meant search your sat box for the .fdu file from your computer

Try restoring the firmware via the serial port.
Use the serial loader found in the tools section.
You will need a null modem serial lead and a computer with a serial port of course.

Hi i have tried flashing via serial port but i get a errx12 (@ different % levels)
what i am i doing wrong

That indicates a transfer failure.
Are you using a USB to serial convertor? Those cause these sort of errors
If your using a real serial port computer then try changing your port speed.

Got it working, i was using a usb serial adaptor which working every time my screen saver went on. got all sorted
