Tv can't see my spiderbox combo!

Hi I have connected my new spiderbox to my tv (old set not digital) using scart not a problem, but when connected through the aerial cable and did a scan it can not find it.

My old receiever was connected through the aerial and was working no problems. all i did is remove the old reciever and connect the spiderbox in its place.

The main cable from the aerial goes to the spiderbox then out to the dvd and out to the vcr then back to Tv.

Any ideas of what could be wrong?

My theory only....

New box with 'Green Features' = a Power saving mode and when set on doesn't allow pass-through (Aerial) - so look in the Menu somewhere about Power saving and turn it off

Re-boot the box, you never know :D

Had the same problem, when scanning with the tv, it does not see it,
Found a sort of work round, I still had the old analog station of ITV tuned in on the tv so I kept altering the output channel of the spiderbox untill it was the same as the old ITV channel untill I got a picture. (lots of jumping between the scart to see the spiderbox and what to alter and the old ITV analog channel)

when you look in menu where rf channel appears what have you set tv type to? it should be pal i for uk, or such like,

as gbmitie says go to menu ,options,control panel,tv type scroll l or r to pal,then down to rf type pal1 then exit menu.
Then try another scan on your TV
