E2 - 1.0.26 Full patch package

Hello,

As you know 1.0.26 has severals problem:
- Screen and VFD remains black at boot
- DiseqC is not working
- CAS are not supported.

So please find attached an installation pack with the right driver to allow you to enjoy 1.0.26 and its very nice new skins.

Installation:

Please type the commande really like they are written do not assume that by taping something else you will get the same result.
So please simply follow the procedure and cut and paste the commands.

Download the attached file Patch-for-1.0.26.tgz

Have an Azbox running E2 1.0.26, let it start normally (so do not do this commands in recovery mode, it won't work!).

Transfer via FTP the file into the /tmp folder.

Access in telnet to your Azbox (not SSH -> so not Putty, you cannot connect since there is no password set for root).



cd /
tar -xvzf /tmp/Patch-for-1.0.26.tgz
sync
shutdown -r now


Remember please don't assume that doing cd /tmp and then tar -xvzf Patch-for-1.0.26.tgz will give the same result, it is not!

You should type all comands as 1 line and press enter

Hello,

No at the end of each line press enter key, it is not a one line command but multiple lines commands.

Just cut and paste and it will work.

I have also tried with my Azbox premium everything went well, but does not help no picture, no scan..
I give it to return to the original s / w

E2 1.0.27 is out now so you can install it, it will contain all the fixes proposed in this patch.

Pr2, nice work. It would be good if they could host these updates files on the new website. It would make it simpler with a wget statement.

I don't have any problem accessing my azbox using Putty!

Putty is capable of do both telnet and SSH it just depends on the port you define to connect. :-)

This update is no longer needed since 1.0.27 is out.
