ive got a 1.2m gibertini and i love it . i would only use a 36v system with mine as its large . the mounts are jumbo sized compared to a standard sized dish .

As mikie says better use a 36v motor especially if the dish is exposed to heavy winds.

I have mine in the garden on a TM2600 motor, you'll have to adapt the dish mount to fit disqec motor but mine works well.

The question is how many years a stab 120 lasts compared to a 36V actuator ! The actuator have to have special grease covering to stand against weather. Best to use WD 40 regularly or similar on the arm that comes out, and use Hammerite waxoil (clear) on other areas. This tip comes from David at SatSuperShop in UK. Great thanks to him for that! I have a 36V actuator that has lived for over 7years now, because I put heavy greas all over it to stop any water coming in ! Others without protection dies after a couple to 3 years from rust inside !

i use an ultra black on my 120 . it performs as good as a white tech single on a channel master feedhorn .

You can fit your Gibertini 1.2 on a Stab 120 but you have to fit ''Distance pieces'' to make do for the large size of the Dish Bracket. Stab Motors have these Pieces just right for the job, they are reffered to as DS-01 Brackets (if you Google ''Stab DS-01'' you will see them). You can also use other Brands of Brackets but you have to fiddle around with them sa as to fit them properly.

hi
just got myself a gibertini 1m dish and would like to know if the INVACOM SNF-031 'C120' 0.3dB Universal LNB is good to use with the dish...

You must have the Feed Horn for it. Mostly its for Prime focus Dishes in the region of 1.2m or more. For a 1m Dish you can you use the normal 40mm Lnb. Having said that, if you do have the Feed Horn, I don't see the reason why not.

get an ultra black 40mm lnb , you will not be disapointed with such a cheap lnb . its truly a great buy .

Just want to give further Information on this thread....I have installed 4 Dishes on my roof... one is 1m - 2x1.2m and a 1.5 m Dish.....now I am using a 'Best' 0.1db LNB (name 'Best' is the Brand name - made in Germany) on the four Dishes and they are the optimum I could find especially (on the SKY UK) with the 1.2m and 1m Dish. better than the Inviacom 0.3db with a feed horn...this is my finding after prolonged experimenting with other LNBs. The black Inverto came very close as well as regards weak signals but not quite as the 'Best' 0.1db.

There is no need for the Feedhorn (as Mikie8 said) just place it on its cradel. I live way down in Malta and the Astra 28.2 comes in loud and clear (not the Astra 2D....you need a 3.5 m Dish for that). Inactual fact I can Pan from 45W right up to 75E with no sweat.

I got the "Best" lnb and I have to say I`m well impressed. It`s the best lnb I`ve used. For an example I pointed my dish to 45*e and scanned while I had my old lnb attached,I pulled in 9 channels.I then put the new lnb on the dish and pulled in 95 channels. One hell of a difference there don`t you think.
Thanx for the info guys.:king-041:
