I get all channels on the following Bouquets on my HD Spiderbox on 16E
Tring Digital
DigitAlb
Total TV
to choose but a few
I'm not suggesting that the Gift decrypts all of Total Tv, just stating that i can receive the above in Newcastle area on a 90cm dish pointing at that bird

hi m8,16e slot is a mess.reception is variable.
some transponders are Balkans only, try a little inclination (up/down alignment)for these sats.
you have to concider that its just a temporary bodge job of sats. up there, since w2 ran away ,or was abducted by aliens, who now have there hands on w2b as well.
lets hope that the planned w2c gets to position safely next year.
cheers

Hi guys, Like Compass i get all the channel.
Im in south lincs and have no problems at all, using a 1mtr dish,
Signal 74%
Quality 84%
Maybe your usals are out by a point or two,
or your dish is not plumb square

All above providers ok for me regardless of weather conditions but i use 1.6 meter Fortecstar offset Dish 0.1db icecrypt lnb
Tonight however i have noticed it very tuff to get a decent lock in Digialb movie channls pics are very pixelated and normally quite good signal aswell

i get every channel on 16E on a 1.2m near manchester.
the weakest transponder is 11.658H and i only get 82% signal on this transponder,my cut off signal strength with my dreambox is 76%,bellow this and the picture starts to break up,so you may struggle with this transponder, and unfortunately for you this transponder carries the digitalb movie channels, but all others are around 92% so you should get these with ease.
try moving your dish using 10758V (very strong transponder)to find the sat.
PS 16E is located between 13E and 19E not 28E as you stated.
Barney
the transponder 11.658 that carries the movie channels is not only the weakest, but the most susceptible to interfearence from equipment in your own home.i had to insert an inline amp to solve this problem.check that you dont have any digital phones near your reciever or that other equipment is causing this.ive never gotten to the bottom of whats interfearing with this frequency and other high end frequencies in both bands,in my home,i just know that when i cover my vbox with my hand the breakup stops.
so as i said, the only solution for me was an in line amp which was £2.99 from our favorite auction site and solved the problem completely.Ian.

on a side note its not going to improve now until next summer dues to the w3b satellite failing to get into orbit the other day

Hi Guys,
I am currently getting good signal strength and quality on Eutelsat W2 but my channels are still scrambled.
I'm receiving 40% quality on the weakest transponder (11658) and over 70% quality on Tring channels, so signal is clearly not my problem.
Does anybody know how I can download a software patch to fix this as my Spiderbox 9000 came pre loaded with the free gift from the supplier??????
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi Keith, you can set it up yourself.
on a stronger sat signal.reset the focus of the lnb,wet a J-cloth and cover the lnb, slid in and out of the holder to get best signal .
next adjust the Skew again with the wet cloth over the lnb, rotating lnb clock and anti clockwise for best results.
go to 16e,use RTK its strong.gently lower crank arm,or highten same.(theres always a little play in it)if signal increases move dish up or down a fraction
in the opposite direction.again you can move crank arm gently east or west
if improvement is gained you need to Tweek your motor settings 0.1 deg at a time in the opposite direction.
if you still have no luck perhaps your lnb is low gain. that is if hotbird and astra are ok but you still cant get RTK at 16e.
cheers
im going with what tonski said.
i bet your satellites.xml file says 15.8E and not 16E.
check it keith and edit it if needed.Ian.

I am OK with 16E but had to go to DISECQ as it needs more precise positioning than I could achieve with USALS - in fact the position seems slightly out of sync as all other sats (inc the likes of 33 and 36E) are OK on USALS. It may be the 15.8 vs 16E thing that causes it. Keep tweaking!

I stuggled with this and despite hours of trying I couldn't get this sat on a motor without throwing other birds near the limit of my 1m dish, off. It always seemed to need a little more elivation than the standard arc gave.
When I got a Tring sub I gave up and put the 1m dish on a fixed pole and magic, 90%
