Thinking about buying one to replace my $|y+ HD, and gettiing rid of the monthly sub to the Australian, keeping my fixed dish on 28 East.

I'll still be using my 1M motorised in the other room with a dreambox.

Technically, is it the same as the box I have i.e. can I:

Record one channel and watch another?
Record two channels (or more?) and watch something on the hard drive?
Are there any restrictions on which channels I can watch while recording another? (Do they both have to be H or V, or the same transponder etc.?)

Also, can I connect the Vu+ Duo to the same network as my dreambox, and get the $|y channels that I get through my dreambox via CS?

Answers on a postcard would be most appreicated.

Thanks very much
Steve

I have 1 here and the answer to all them questions is YES, if you are recording 1 channel you can still view any other channel ( on the same sat obviously) unless you have 1 fixed + 1 motorised dish of course, as far as the dreambox connection goes YES is the answer.

Hi mate just to strengthen what Paul said. I have a VU+Duo and have managed to record 4 programs at once my setup is LNB1 motorised ,and LNB2 fixed on 28. Very impressed with this receiver.
