plugin problem

i have dream elite installed as image, ipress green, yellow button go to addon try to install vlc but will not let me.
keep getting cannot find package enigma2 plugin extension vlc player
anybody help ?

so i downloaded media center 0.9.3
all ok, open up usb pen with avi file on, get messeage GsTREAMER PLUGIN avi demuxer not available. again can anyone help

you can only play avi/divx/xvid with vlc player.

I had the same prob download vlc on pc and ftp to temp folder on dm800 then do a manual install.

Best way to play movies on dm800 is .mkv.m2ts HD movies with ac sound plays perfect and is 1080p

hi mate, that is what i am going to do downloadvlc and temp,
how does mkv.mts work ?

dm800 processor does not support avi/divx/xvid but does m2ts and mkv its much better to download your movies and store them on your dm hard drive 1080 playback with no stutters but make sure they have ac3 sound and not dts as dts does not work either.
