It contains (BISS) keys and goes into /var/etc. The file can be activated, but you need to CHMOD it (755), and it works with the MCas client.

And why do I want them....whatever they are?
(If it doesn't affect Sly, then maybe it doesn't matter to me!)

doesn't the MCAS plugin (when started) include BISS Keys.
what, therefore, is Coconut used for?

bump - lol
i need this info, 11 years later
its weird, im not sure if MCAS is needed in addition to COCONUT - i think MCAS uses softcam.key and coconut - coconut.dat
but one doesnt appear to work unless the other is started.
very odd setup

On my ICECRYPT boxes s6000, S4000, 3500 coconut runs alone to decrypt BISS.
See my recent post regarding coconut on an s6600.

i did mate - it worked
the problem with coconut, is there is no common key format
i would like to use MGCAMD - as this can read SOFTCAM.KEY files
MGCAMD is an installed plugin...but i couldnt get it opening BISS keys. ONly coconut, using an old Coconut.Dat file.
i had a recent softcam.key file in \etc\var (and the config was pointing to that location)
