Sorry if in the wrong section.

Is it possible to put a monoblock arm on a S*Y dish or an arm anything else and set up to receive up to five sat's.

Cheers in Advance

If it is a Zone 2 (i.e. the 60cm type for the North of England & Scotland) then yes, where are you located in the country?

Hi Ghostleader,

I live in Leeds area. The dish looks like a larger than normal size on the roof.

Cheers

Also what five sat's, if you require say 13e,16e & 19e you can forget it, three degree spacing is out of the question for such a small dish.

Hi Ghostleader,

I was thinking of 13e,16e, 19e, 28e.

I always used to use Motorized, but were I live I cannot... So it depends on what I can receive now.

I am using a Technomate 6900HD...

Cheers M8...

80cm to 1.2 meter. roof might blow of , i would put on wall.
what cost you for lnbs and coax cheaper with a motor system .

warning pebble dash wall not good for bigger than 80cm . i no and hole was left in the wind few years ago .

I have 7e,13e,19e & 28e, the 28e is a quad that has three feeds from it, one feeding the Diseqc switch & the other two going to my $-K-Y box.

Hi Ghostleader,

I live in a conservation area. But I have had 1 to 1.5 motorised dishes in other areas of Leeds no problems in the past.

I am just looking for a cheap way or it is back to F**king S*Y.

Just my luck.

Cheers M8...

Sorry to hear that mate, I have played with my old Zone 2 a good bit with a good few non "off the shelf" bracket's, six degree spacing can be done without a problem, but beyond that I cant see you getting closer than 5 degrees between birds.

so have I and I had to extend the zone 2 arm but could get 13e , 19e , 28e and 42e on a zone 2 , but as you say its more like 5 or 6 degree spacing and not 3 degrees for 13e , 16e and 19e

really needs a bigger dish and slim alps lnb,s for that , and with a triax td80 to td88 or td110 I can get 5e , 13e , 19e and 28e but not tried for 16e due to lnb spacing not allowing one in between

my original posts on it are in here

I have seen 13e,16e, & 19e done on a TD88 with a sanded down central 40mm clamp holder on the Triax Multi Bracket for the TD range that also had a right angled chunk of plastic cut out of it so the middle holder could actually sit right on the end of the dish arm (Good thinking when you consider how crap Seasat @ 16e is power wise) but beyond this & the fact the guy had also used alps LNB's for the job, I was thinking of having a go with the newer to market Inverto narrow feed horn LNB's (23mm clamp) & a sandwich action with two modded Orbital brand multi LNB brackets, I really want to see if I can obtain the holy grail of 13e,16e & 19e on a 80cm dish!:banghead:
