Playback problem solved?

I was watching a film yesterday which I had recorded on a memory stick. During playback the box kept rebooting. After a while I remembered that I had the box tuned to a channel on a satellite with a weak transponder, the signal kept coming and going. After I changed to a stable channel the problem went.
Could it be that this locking and unlocking of the signal could cause the box to reboot when playing back recorded material?

Surely, you need a solid strong signal to record without a problem. Also I assume you are using the latest software and you did a factory reset after installing it???

Slightly off topic, and possibly a daw! moment, but could anyone tell me how to play a recording on this box?, stumped?

Press the play button on remote. File list is displayed.Pick file required .press ok press play. TMULL

my brian had me trying to do it thur the menu/usb system. was blind to the play button!!:frown:
