Humm, if it's not working , i see only two problems:
1 - Maybe a HDCP issue
2 - Or bad config on Tv or Receiver, Try on Av Settings lower resolutions, like 720p with 50 or 60hz.

Some Old tv's are a bit dificult to get HD working

Edit: RGB is for analog, if you want hdmi, don't choose rgb.

rgb 1 is the name over the dvi slot, so no option there have looked at all the configs in the tv setup and tried them all, just about to look at stb setup again see if I can see anything but it's looking like a no go.

You have a cable from your Vu+Duo HDMI - DMI

On your Vu+ you need to go to menu > setup > System > A/V Settings > Video Output > DVI

Forget my last post.

Already done that the only option for dvi is dvi pc tried it on that still a blank screen It's on hdmi now at 720p & refresh rates set on multi.
Think I've tried about every combination will give it a rest now sleep on it and maybe try again tomorrow thanks to you & passete for trying to help.

It should not make a difference but Black hole has both options.

Hi painter,

Try changing your Tvs (Colour System).
In the TV's menu the Colour system will be (Grayed Out) when
using terrestrial Freeview.

Turn on your Sat STB , then the (Colour System will light Up).
Try changing from Pall to Secam.

I'm afraid the tv has no built in freeview and the color option remains grayed out maybe this is the reason the connection won't work but why would they build a set with a DVI slot built in if it don't work:confused:

Finally cracked it it was a setting in the tv remote on rgb 1 I switched video input to dvi pc and bingo, not impressed with the picture though on an sd channel that is will try it later on hd and decide from there may have to keep switching inputs.
Thanks for all your help guys.

Yes it looks like I'll have to keep switching inputs the pain is the best pq on hd channel is using 50 or 60hz settings the pic gets centered on the screen then trouble is if I switch to an sd channel in that mode picture judders have to switch to multi refresh rate also with a 50/60hz rate I get a blank screen using scart connection.
Hope this post is understandable seemed like gibberish when I was typing it.

Hi painter,

I had a problem with my RGB picture oscillating
on my Humax HDCI 2000 STB when set to RGB.

The Colour System is grayed out until your TV
detects a secam signal.
Turn on your STBox and that will enable (Colour System).

I did this and changed my Pal to Secam and that stabalised
the RGB picture, and quality.

Well Bbigfoot I did manage to change my video input from pal to secam but the same thing happens, all video inputs are set on auto now but no change looks like I'll just have to use the box with scart lead for now until an image comes along that works with my tv.
So for now that's the end of my sojourn into HD.:banghead:
