I am due an upgrade early in the new year.

Is there a mobile phone that can access the following.....

BBCIplayer
ITVplayer
Channel 4 player.

I currently have a Nokia N97 and that will only allow me to access BBCiplayer.

I cannot access the others via the web interface.

As further clarification re Android 2.2 (Froyo), I am sure that the same would apply to other handsets running the same or later versions of Android, assuming they are of a similar specification or higher (Desire has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor). Examples of handsets in that category will include the Google Nexus One, Google Nexus S, HTC Desire HD, HTC Desire Z, and Samsung Galaxy S. I say "include" as I am sure there will be others as well either now or in the future :-)

What is 'Froyo'?

Reason I ask is that I have a friend with a Samsung Galaxy running android 2.2 and he can't get anything other than BBCiplayer.

I assume 'Froyo' is a hacked version of android 2.2?

Froyo (frozen yoghurt) is the nickname for Google Android 2.2. It is not specifically this that supports streaming video, but it normally comes bundled with Flash 10.1

If Flash is not installed, it should be available for free in the Android Market.

Lack of Flash support is what is inhibiting the iPhone platform.
