SWIMBO has managed to record one of her favourate programmes without
the card in the machine!!

Unfortunately putting the card back in the machine will not clear the programme.

Is there a way around this or is it possible to include this in a future
f/w fix?

you dont mention the channel, the sat, the card, or sub mate.

It appears that recording playback is not routed through the card reader.

It would be useful if this were possible with the s4000. My ancient Topfield will
decode recordings made without the card in either real time or x2 or by x4.

ColdAsICE - any chance this might be possible?

Itīs all gone very quiet. Perhaps there will be some good news soon. Perhaps even
a f/w upgrade!

Iīll keep on dreaming.

haha, to be fair the icecrypt f/w up until now has only normally been 1 or 2 days after octagon, maybe there are problems with it, and are holding off giving us a f/w full of bugs.

what happens if you playback the recording and hit record, does it allow you to do that, and do you then have a unencrypted file as a result?

Answer - no!

It appears that the recording playback is not routed through the card reader.

Who knows if it might be on a future f/w upgrade

yeah thats a shame, that, and the ability to record the timeshift buffer (incorporate it into the recording)

my old 2004 topfield 5500 could do both - thats progress for you!!! NOT
