Please,

As we want to fix, much as possible bug's which You, dear friends expiriencing in work with Enigma 2, please follow this GUIDE, so when You want to report a BUG or PROBLEM in thread of current release of Enigma 2 for AzBox HD Devices, for us will be easier to understand the situation and to provide fix in future releases.

1. Specify which model You have :

- Elite

- Ultra

- Premium

- Premium+

2. Tuner Combination :

- Single ( just one tuner in receiver )

- Combo ( DVB-S2 + DVB-C , DVB-S2 + DVB-T )

- Twin ( Just in case of Premium+ )


3. Problem / BUG description

Try to supply as much as possible Information regarding the BUG which You are experiencing in work with Enigma 2.

4.Version Info :

Please state which version of Enigma 2 You are running, + If You have installed 3rd parity Enigma 2 Plugins ( e.g ****center, EPG Plugin etc. ).

5. Installation path :

Tell us where You have installed Your Enigma 2 : DOM, USB, HDD

6. Crashlog :

In case of Green report problem screens, try to provide us crashlog, which You will attach to Your post.

** In case, that none or small description is supplied we will not review or try to clear issue or to provide fix in next release of Enigma 2, unless we find it in our testing time same that BUG ***

Occasionaly, after reboot when VFD displays "12" you hear a "click" and the screen become pink. when reboot is finished all works fine (sat channels, media player, menus etc,) but the pictures are "pinky" so unwatchable.
Reboot again fixes the problem.
This is happening since E2 1.0.25
Some times this happens waking up from stand-by too (never happened yet on 1.0.3)

3. Video Output settings nonfunctional causes screen to go black. Samsung HD display PAL/NTSC compatible connected via HDMI cable. From default 720p PAL output, go to video output section and choose HDMI 1080p or 720 and 60hz and say "OK". Screen goes black and stays that way. As has been previously do***ented, deleting, /etc/videomodeaz file restores video. From looking at that file videomodeaz it contains,

"-digital -f HDMI_1080p60 -hdmi_chip SiI9030 0 14 15 100 0 -asp 16 9 -afd 16"

Coud one issue be that this is referencing the 9030 for the Elite/Premium rather than the 9134 for the Ultra/Premium+? No matter what this issue, I would strongly suggest a confirmation dialog box before accepting a resolution, the user must say "accept" otherwise the display will revert to the prior resolution. This will avoid the scenario of choosing a resolution incompatible with the users dislay. Lastly, while my display can handle both PAL and NTSC resolutions, it would be beneficial if there was an option for choosing PAL or NTSC just as there is for factory firmware. Thank you for the good work thus far.

- IP address is correctly released by Router/DHCP and IP connectivity between laptop and azbox is ok, because ping and telnet works well.
- When I push update on AZUp 1.2.5 the warning message Connection Failed is displayed, and the log confirm that AZUp is able to connect to the AZBOX:

The Fan is enabled when rebooting the AZBox.
I disable it over the GUI (when box is running) then the Fan is disabled. When I reboot the Box the Fan is on and loud. I see in the GUI that the Option "Fan" is disabled. When I switch to enable and then back to disable the Fan is off. I think the setting will not be read when the AZBox is booting.

-Sometimes to turn on reciver from standby nothing happens even if the VFD will show the channel name. reboot helps

Hmm if you get msg "Connection Failed!" - you have problem with FTP connection - check port 21 , maybe firewall blocked port 21
also check port (67), for dhcp, i think if all is ok , max time for dhcp answer is ~5 sec

I had this problem too, to fix it I rebooted the router, computer and the AZBox. First I tried only the AZBox and then the computer, but it was not working until I rebooted the router. Also in Win7 run as Admin. So the problem seemed to be with the router. I too could connect with both telnet and SSH, while it was not working.

I think your problem is the File w_izzar_d.py. this file is the one that gets the init ******* to config the box.

When you make a system reset it brings that w_izard_ on gui and makes a green screen

replace that file with a more recent one. you can find it on Enigma2 by ripper test posts.

I already posted to the ripper and team to replace that file in next version but no reply from them.

I had same problems, replaced with the one by DSteam and it works good.

I have occasional with zapping an error screen with notice:

Time out ''SID not found in PM" or something.

I have one comment about problems with HDMI. I can remember that

in the beginning with Enigma 2_ 1.27 or so that HDMI was never fell away.

I do not know if this helps, but the problems began with later versions when

the sound was added to it. My receiver is Azbox premuim.

I think it's a frame rate related problem... Because that's the only real difference between the files...

You can find this files under the name "Mythbusters Seasons 1-5 dvd/tvrip 6-8hd/tvrip Xvid COMPLETE NoRaRs REPACK[MokeyD][FallenOne]" on internet, first file is S01E01 and second S01E05.

EDIT: I converted that .avi file with 25fps to a 30fps file and it played perfect.

- slight stuttering/jamming on the bottom of the screen on SD channel (mainly viewable during horizontal textscrolling (eg. any news channels) from right to left side of the screen. This issue is worse on HD channels (almost whole screen is stuttering a bit during movements)
Tested provider/satellite: Upc Direct (Thor 0.8W)
- sometimes synchornisation problem - picture is dispayed later then the sound (5-10 or more seconds, generally re-zapping helps)
-switching to other audio track mostly not working
-during standby/wakeup there is a strange loud scrachy noise generated in default skin (other skins are OK), however switching between HDMI inputs or TV switch-off and switch-on is OK (Toshiba LCD 37XV635DG)
- sometimes the cursor navigation is not smooth or there is bigger delays in menu/channel list - cogs are also appeared in that case for some seconds

A little out of sync from start maybe, not too noticeable, and then within about 30mins to 1 hour the audio is several seconds ahead of the video and unwatchable.

Any HD chanells still don't work (no picture, sound cutting) on 0.8W Thor (UPC) - for example 11843 V (http://www.lyngsat.com/hd/thor6.html), 11785 H (http://www.lyngsat.com/hd/thor5.html) 30000 3/4 8PSK - strenght of signal 85% and quality 72%

- for any original firmware is OK

Been watching for some time took the plunge yesterday evening put the above on USB stick and loaded.

Had to switch off 3 times then got to this stage.

21:08:58 > Copying E2 kernel...

21:12:10 > Finalising Installation
21:14:18 > Removing tmp files...
21:14:18 > E2 installed successfully.

took out stick before reboot.

VFD showing again IP address

Have tried reboot also used diff stick with new copy still same result.

For the record using Azup and with a renamed patch managed to go back to old firmware now everything OK

Will try e2 again when I feel I know what I am doing

3. Installation of E2 RC1 fails to detect HDMI display resulting in a black screen. Connecting a display via composite video cable allows one to change the display output properties and to output HDMI. This was not an issue in prior beta which sent signal to HDMI display on initial bootup of E2. Display is Samsung LCD, both PAL/NTSC compatible.

As stated moicas3004 earlier in this thread, the issue appears to relate to the File w_izzar_d.py as newer version correct the issue. This bug has been present for a while now and appears to be easily fixed. Could we please have this addressed in the next version? I'd think that a bug that crashes the system would be considered critical. Thanks as always for hard work :respect-040:

I have rotor(GI-50-120) using USASLS, but when switching from satellite sometimes (23.5E gets this alot) the first transponder doesnt work you to seek channel with other TP and the first one is fixed. Also Thor (1W) some channels don't work please take a look at this, sound is cracking en when i have picture audio out of sync or picture is totally broken (not watchable) I have great reception so that is not de problem sng en agr well above 80%. Also when de rotor is still turning the azbox will give message tuning failed (countdown 4-1) but then after picture loads fine.
