Received The Baby This Morning !

Flashed Via Web interface, and rebooted :
1st : Bug, Get a nasty Error message "2nd failed", Started Sweting hard, Webif don't Work.

Make some google search, and founded the solution, reflashed with Dreamup and original Image.
Again with Webif Installed last Icvs Image, This time all Ok (Ouff..)

2nd : Card readers are inverted, Lower Slot is /dev/sci1 and Upper is /dev/sci0, Well spended a few minutes to realise it.

Now i'm trying to get 2 Smargos working, 2 internal card's are Working.

I'm still testing, Boot Time is Much faster then 8000.
Zap is prety fast, as usual.

Yeah, for sure mate, for the Price Diference, 800se is more interesting than 500hd.

Good Choice, your 800 will Look Like a Toy !

Only regret, is that Bluray drivers Still Not Available for Linux, as i've installed a BD player on 8000.

dm800SE has a better/faster processor than dm8000, don't get the overpriced/aged 8k, for half the price 800SE is a much better option !

I don' agree with your last sentence ...

For the money, 8000 is much Better, 800 is a Litle toy Compared, and for half price of 8000, you get a "Miniature" of 8000 (4 times Smaler) and Big is Better.
Well, if you wait some more month's, you will get a better/faster proc, and if you wait a couple of Years, you will be dead :D and don't see the new better2/faster2 processor.

Yeah, for sure mate, for the Price Diference, 800se is more interesting than 500hd.


The only extra features the 800se has compared to the 500hd, is an extra card reader, the ability to install an internal hdd (both can take an external hdd), 2 usb ports and a colour oled display. I don't think these differences are worth 130 quids.

Both have the same processor and the same memory and to me this is what counts most.

im using now last CVS from DMM 3.0.3 with gemini blue panel plugin and shamann® HD Glass skin all working perfect. not a single problem, using since the image came out

What image works best with white card if you use one, or what image do you recomend start with?
I recieve dutch, german, spanish, french and italy. how is it with cccam?
which prog are you using on pc, as not had DM for many years use dcc 2.94 currently on tm will that work as used to it?

Image : Icvs (go to plugins, install gemini Plugin) Or Dreamelite 1.0 (Need to add addons server manualy)

Install Cccam 2.1.3 - No BackDoor (possible from addons on Both images)

Install Dcc Enigma2 V1.20, you can also use Older versions for Enigma1 (Dcc 2.96)

Well its running and I do like it.
Boot speed is ok not as fast as thought it would be.
Feeds to my spiderbox ok as well

Started at lunch time flashed ICvs as recomended, then plugins ( some to go yet) and cccam214.
Card running ish as one says he is not getting it but others all ok so think its him.
recieving all but italy card, and its same chap!!
Put in some sats, not great as had to scan each sat then clean up the dross, still a few sats to go, you forget how long it take to make you own list.
Found it took a bit to remember some things as not done a fesh loads for a couple of years.
Not so sure about the fan on top seems strange to me, why not at back?
over all I am impressed , more to do tomorrow including H/Drive

Turn Of rear switch, Press and keep pressed front buton, turn ON, Wait until "stop" message, release front buton.

If not working, use Dreamup with Mini usb cable.

Run Dreamset 2.32, go to "setup", enter ip user and pass, on firmware choose "enigma2 http ...", press test, if OK press "save"
Now got "new" tab and choose internet settings (use k i n g of s a t), thick the cases for the satelites you want, press download, when finish press exit.
Go to "Transfer" tab and press "write" !
Voila, your own settings, actual and in few seconds.

I have done the above as I have always done with my 800 but with the 800se all I get is "dhcp" but no ip address. I am trying to find a "how to" with dreamup as I have never used this method before.

Log in tour router then attached device then u will see the IP

I am going to fit a WD Scorpio Blue 750GB 2.5" HDD SATA 3GB/s today now not sure if worth the risk as have pvr in systemn.

here we go :

Download the 2 files
Install the Driver "CP210x.." and note the com port, disconnect power with rear switch (connect mini usb), run dreamup, select comport, connect (when asked, turn on dm), choose image and flash, disconnect usb and reboot.

It's a bit long, about 10 minutes.

PS: you need a usb to mini usb cable

I unchecked the network in dreamup and the file has now loaded, but now it seems to be stuck at flashing from memory. Will it say done when everything is finished? Montyboy

After trying all day to with dreamup it seems to of had no effect on the box at all, because when I gave up I turned the box on and it booted up with the image it came with inc my settings, so I have now put the GP3 ****** in with ftp and got the blue panel up and running.

You wont believe this but I had to give it one more go.
Press button on front turn on at the back but still only got dhcp but no ip address but because I know the ip I just tried to see if I could connect to the web interface and hey presto I have now flashed the box with the HDD inside and no problems:respect-067:
I will be trying to setup my white card tomorrow Will let you know.

Just a quick update.
My DM800hd-se has now been running constantly since december 23rd.
It has not had any problems and not one reboot, Its in a private share,( 6 of us) we all have the same unit, all using iCVS, never fitter a HDrive in the end, dont think the fan has ever cut in. Very pleased, would not have believed how easy the change of reciever has gone.

The 800se is faster than the 800, the 8000 and 800se have the same speed. The real question is if the cpu can cope with what it is intended to do and the answer in both cases is yes.

You can surf the internet with a 6 core intel i7 processor, the same you would with a single core pentium4.

if you are still having problems ..
If the flash sticks at a certain percent - this means your box has lost its ip address .. you can get the same problem with using serial cable.

The BEST way - I hav described this a few times on here - is use the web interface.
But you need the ip address of your box
use - 'advanced ip scanner' this looks at your network and tells you what is connected.
