dreambox 8000 genuine crap

ok for years and now people have been selling dreambox clones (yeah right)

have today tested a dm800 clone with 2.01 sim. no differnece in performance to a genuine dm8000 wished i had known could of bought 4 clones and had one in each room (dam)

ok some cleaver spark at dm came up with an idea ?, i know he said one day lets market these so called genuine boxes as a very expensive box so when we introduce the the so called dm clones at the price they should be people will think there getting a real bargain and we will sell lots and lots and make lots of money. these so called clone dm boxes have been out for years now i really dont think that companies would have been able to get away with it for as long as they have been if dreambox didnt them selves have somthing to do with it

Well, you pays your money and takes your chance. I have a genuine one and love it. I loved the old 7000 with all its faults, but the new 8000 is just so good. Had problems at the start but as usual helped immensely by the guys here, especially Old Fart, and it goes like liquid gold. HDD and DVD installed and all working very well and on the very rare occasion, after endless zapping, if it does crash, the reset is also smooth and effortless. Perhaps a VU may have been cheaper,but I am well pleased with mine. Cheers - Brain

jst thought i would make tthis thread clear
the title of this thread is dm genuine crap with refers to my belief that there is no such thing as a genuine box or a dm8000 clone my theory is that these two boxes have both originated from the same manufacters only the clone clone rights have been sold and passed on to a different manufacterers but for every so called clone boxes sold dreambox themselfs make a little bit

And what about the korean and chinese clones? According to my theory the chinese clones, are clones of the korean clones, and the koreans pay dream multimedia a small amount because the koreans won the 2002 world cup hosting thanks to the german votes. Rumors say that co-hosters Japan also got their cut.
