I would like to connect the second (external) HDD to my DM8000 via E-SATA on the enclosure. The internal one is originally connected to SATA on the motherboard, now I´d also like to connect the external one to the free SATA on the motherboard. What I´d like to know is how to select the recording path (on which disk to record and play back from) when both are connected. I´m using either Nabilo BH 012 or Gemini 460. Would also install a newer Gemini if neccessary for this purpose. Can anybody explain?

Hi Luis
I havent got a second HDD since I installed a 1.5t I have enough space. I would think that once you have installed it it will just appear on the external list on the Media player list and you can then select it. I am sure someone will come up with the full detail. Good luck- Brain

you can do it this s method i used on the oozoon image

i first inizialised in the main sata port not sure if you inizialize in the spare sata port weather it creates a movie folder ?? i then popped it into the spare port

the instruction below dont work on some images i belive gemin is one of the as recording paths doesnt show up in the menu

hit menu /hit setup /hit system/hit recording paths/hit default movie location/now press menu and hit switch to file list/now hit ok/now hit list of storage devices/ now you should see the usb slot in whichever slot you have put your hdd hit it and you should see the movie folder hit ok on your movie folder/now hit green button/ and hit the green button again that shoul be it try to record something just hit record
