Recording feeds

I recently recorded a concert feed and the HD picture and sound were both perfect during the broadcast but when I try to play it back the picture pixelates and the sound is distorted. I'm using KGD 4890 and have tried streaming/copying the file from the azbox using VLC and various settings but can't improve the problem. Any ideas why this should happen?

yes, i had that - was it a 4.2.2 feed?

i beleive this is some kind of macrovision during broadcast.

the TNA PPV's on Monday mornings at 1am, have this

i got around it, recording it to my dvd recorder *harddisk* using a macrovision remover (sonel.c0m) cable

shame tho, as obviously pic quality is lost, but at least u have the program


- also was it recorded to internal HDD or external USB disk? (mine was external USB disk)

Yes it was 4.2.2 and recorded to internal hdd. I think I may have still have an old macrovisionscart somewhere, if I can find it I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

i think maybe then it is just 4.2.2 feeds with the issue, can u try another one when u see one and see if u have the same problem..(i dont have internal hdd)

if it does have the problem, then id be so bold to think its a problem playing back the 4.2.2 file...annoying, but at least we get the feeds in the first place, and we have the alternative i suggested
