Advice needed on latest map etc for TT300

Could someone tell me what is the latest western Europe map for Tom Tom Go 300?

I am planning a trip to Germany in July.


I know this is now a very old unit, but it still works well, so why bin it if it still works, I say!

V860 maps are the latest. Use Tomtom Home to update you Navcore to the latest official version - should be 7.9** & then read the guide I've posted in here to patch your ttsystem file & to activate the map.

How do I know if my 'Navcore' is up to date?


I have just installed TT home and apart from telling me I have the wrong map, it hasn't mentioned anything about Navcore?



I updated my map some time ago to Western Europe v840.2561 using advice from this board.

This has worked fine since doing it.

Even though I have updated and patched the s/w before I am still very much a novice.

What is your Navcore version number ?
Tap GPS bar on bottom right of your screen to find it.
If you have already used a v840 map then you will be able to use the v860 maps and you have probably got the latest Navcore for it. Have a read of the guide I've posted in here for any activation help.

That's my TTGo 300 sorted now thanks to you and the info here.

Strangely, the latest 'alberts' activator when used claimed it had done the job and all was well, but it hadn't. I had to use BBS tools to activate everything.


Now to do my son's TT One V2. :D
