Which hard drive for 800SE?

I was hoping that someone could let me know of a recommended hard drive for the 800SE? Would a 1.5TB work? Should I choose internal over external?

most use a wd 500gig 2.5 inch internal.. thats plenty... about 70 hrs of hd recording time..!
