hi all did anyone watch the leeds/cardiff feed tonight on 2east fq 11491 pol h sr 15000 fec 5/6 4-2-2 ,on azbox, and if they did was it with e2 fw or the original fw,the reason i ask is that i could not pick up the signal with e2 no matter how i tried, when i put the original fw back on after half time, it picked the signal up straight away, just wondering if this is a minor fault with e2,thanks

Listened to the game last night on the radio, shame I missed this post. I am running the latest opensat firmware and have a az prem box. How do I tune in 2 east as it doesnt show up in the antenna list. I have picked up 4.2.2 feeds on other sats before.
Also what was the picture like ?
Thanx

You can add 2°e manually to your satellite list but it's not worth doing unless you have the means and knowledge to compensate for the inclined orbit.
All these 4:2:2 source feeds usually have excellent video quality.

ive fitted an extra jack arm for inclination, think this sat moves very slowly in a figure of eight,i was just wondering before i put e2 back on i wasnt missing something the original fw could receive, pic quality with original fw was excellent as usual with 422

I've had pictures out of this bird on a standard 1m dish in west yorkshire, but I have recently changed images on dm800 and 3e was not in the sat list. I'll try and get it back as the pictures where ok. If it was 4.2.2. I would have liked to have tried vlc player to view the content.

This is the reason why I am asking, to gain the knowledge and then I can implement a means to to be abole to track this inclined orbit.

firstly an ordinary diseqc motor is not the way to view inclined orbit sats two motors is the easiest way this is the 36v type two receivers would work or maybe vbox could also be used with 36v receiver

you have to add an extra jack arm to your motorised dish set up to take the dish off the arc you have set it up to

"means and knowledge"
Means = if your dish is at low level you can use a spanner to adjust the elevation of the dish.
Knowledge = Check all the facts. Despite what is said on many web sites the satelllite is Astra 2C at 2°e. You can check its elevation in real time at n2yo.com
