stuck at TDTMAXIBOOT \ not booting issue - solved

my STB crashed the other day, and i couldnt get it to boot.

using the recovery tool, when connecting showed everything greyed out, i felt the back of my STB where the serial lead was plugged in, and it was half out, as soon as i pushed it in fully, the machine booted.

i wonder if this is whats been causing my random crashes...

obviously, its now fine.

but now pulled it out for now, and will see how it goes.

Yepp - I had same - erratic behaviour when I left serial cable plugged in to IRD but not to Lappie.

hmmm heres hoping - this might have been the cause of my MAIN gripe ever since owning this box.

it does everything else i need it too really, not too fussed on the whole EPG thing, as i have virgin plus, my sat box is for fiddling \ feeds and whatever else really.
