E2 image reports 1080p - 24hz

just for info, its in my other post, but the latest AAF Multimedia edition E2 images does output 1080p signal, as my TV reports.

although when i choose 1080p in the AV settings of the image, the 50hz, drops to 24hz - but its still 1080p

I installed this over Xmas but didn't bother changing the video from 'Auto'.

Have had a nosey and what it does is allow you to select 1080p but then only at a low refresh rate (24/25/30 kHz) which is effectively the same as 1080i.

At 1080i50 it will 'draw' 540 line fields 50 times a second and so you get a full 1080 frame 25 times a second. The alternative 1080p25 will draw a single frame 25 times a second.

You can't get 1080p50. :o10:
