The day when we want to open our project to all people interested in things which we was doing and will do now and in future, is come :

SVN Contains sources of all changes in enigma2, python files and plugins which are specific for AZBox HD.

Project is hosted on Google code :

http://code.google.com/p/azbox-enigma2-project/

To acquire all files :

svn checkout http://azbox-enigma2-project.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ azbox-enigma2-project-read-only

Latest drivers from 27.12.2010 :

http://azbox-enigma2-project.googlecode.com/files/27122010Drivers.rar

We will keep SVN Up-to-date with all changes which will follow with future releases.

Thx

12341 V 7/8 0.8W Canal + extra HD that channels work perfect, but if you watch canal+sport HD on 10934 H 3/4 25000 0.8W the picture is bad. They are showing the same thing right now.

Not even one bug is confirmed in bug tracker, so just wait for new version and see if it is fixed. If not, just have to wait.

Nobody cares about bugtracker, its the same since it came out.

@MickeySA,

Another team as told me that it is missing in the SVN repository the History of changes made in OE1.6 so that they now what as to be changed.

I think the diff files, identified with the changes are needed.

The other team Reply :

"not like that, there is no history in the repository, so we cannot even see what they had to modify. "

The other Team Is..... PLI

I spoke with them, for the time they aren't going to do nothing because they don't have any azbox to test the image development. ( they test all images made by them , allready 15 ).

But they leave the door open for the future, but the svn must have the changes made to original OE1.6 so that they would know what as been modified to work with azbox.

There are others AZbox owners, like me, for example, that are affected with the same problem. I couldn't properly receive HD channels in Bulsatcom bouquette on 39E (11012V - DVB-S2 8PSK - 30000 3/4) as well as those on Thor you've mentioned here.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it has nothing to do with E2, as it's a known hardware issue that the Opensat had admitted a long time ago. In the beginnings, it was mainly related to handling of internal EMU on Diablo CAMs, but later on the users worldwide reported issues relating to reception of DVB-S2 8PSK channels.

Your solution is quick'n'dirty - take a look here (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=146483)!

For a complete solution, check out the attached pdf file.

There's another way, too... for some time Opensat replaced affected receivers with the new ones, free of charge. See with them or their distributors if this still applies to ya!

Good luck!

Special thx to @fenbg and @primarijus for heads up! http://www.deserteagleforums.com/images/smilies/icon_idea.gif

Just to make things clear.

Is this ONLY affecting Premium recievers (as we can read in the PDF)?
I own a Elite HD, should I be worried?

Thanks.

I personally know users of Elite and Premium+ that are affected, too.

It concerns early releases of receivers, as Opensat claimed... they should've been releasing fixed boxes after it has been leaked to public...

I've attached their Statement as well as a Fix guide for Elite model.

Auto-answer :

I found a workaround, installing manually libxmlccwrap in my Ubuntu 10.10
Instead to use the procedure described in README (debian package) :
- I picked a package .tar.gz from another CDK environment
- I used 'configure' and 'make install'
libxmlccwrap is now installed !

Now, I was able to configure Enigma2

And the 'make' command is in process....

But : A lot of warnings when compiling, and finally :

pmt.cpp:178: instantiated from here
/usr/include/c++/4.4/bits/stl_function.h:230: error: passing ‘const eDVBServicePMTHandler::program::c apid_pair’ as ‘this’ argument of ‘bool eDVBServicePMTHandler::program::c apid_pair::operator<(const eDVBServicePMTHandler::program::c apid_pair&)’ discards qualifiers

Correct, but dont read-me wrong, i didnt say that they are going to make a azbox image. They infact, sayd to me that at this time they will not make any image because they dont have a azbox to make the necessary development tests.

In the future, if they get a azbox to test, then maybe, they will make something.

I just hope that OPENSAT offer them a reciver to test.:sifone:

If someone as the know how, it can take the open-pli souce code and make the image from theyr source, instead from OE1.6.

Opensat boxes reached a deadend regarding fw development/bug solving/new plugins... only E2 platform could initiate a new rise of the phoenix AZboxes... with this on mind, I'd say that a few receivers given away by Opensat are worthless compared to the real value of the whole AZbox E2 Project -after completion of development process, of course.. http://www.deserteagleforums.com/images/smilies/smiley_smartass.gif

the interess exists in sat comunity. The problem is that the RTI Rc1 is still incomplete and too buggy. ( no recording, no cardreader, problems in chanels small freezes ).

I think if RC2 is coming, and it would have this problems solved, the other team's are going to start to make some images.

If Not, only when we enter Final release this will appen. At this time, even DSTeam is waiting for a more stable and complete release.

I just Hope that RTI Team will allow a few more coders in their team, at least for E2 coding and bug solving and cleaning part. If it is only The_ripper it is too bad, beacause the guy has alot to do with the drivers, that are hardwork to make and tune.
There is small stuff to do, like the problem with the w_izzard.py file that in RTI is buggy and couses a greenscreen, that other coders can do. Cosmetic stuff etc.

@Team, The_Ripper

Do you think it will be a night builds to test ou weekly builds?

This would be interesteing for check if changes in python code of E2 are making any efect.

Just an ideia.....

PS: Thanks for you previous reply.

Thanks, i just hope some more guys enter the svn to help in coding, guys like schmegea, that solved the standby problem in RC1 and have some time to contribute to the project.

I dont have any know how in coding, but if there is anyting i can help, like bug tracking managing, im have time for that.

PS: Lets go guys, the door of E2 Azbox is open, know its up to all to contribute to the project, fine tune, cleaning and providing other team the better E2 code possible to develop.

the interess exists in sat comunity.

We have a SVN site but exept for the rticore, there is no more coders, comiters our contibutors to the project.

Moicas,

Regarding small freezes in HD channels which channels have these problems. We have tracked down (not yet fixed) the problems on the dutch HD channels. Please with original firmware record about 5 seconds of problem channels and read codec information with tsmuxer.

Please post the "track info" for the H264 codec here with channel name.

btw:not tested yet that way, but i think every HD have that problem in HISPASAT 30w.
meo and zon provider.
sportv hd
axn hd
fox hd
etc etc.. it's visible when image is fast. like moving scene or football match, or running. you know what i mean.

also SD channels with deinterlace plugin on are perfect, but in HD are terrible pixelated. It gets even worse with deinterlace on.

Sattomy, as Hfmls sayd the problem is in all chanels in MEO provider sat 30W ( This provider emits in mpeg4 High profile HD. Both SD and HD chanels have this very small freezes ( drags ))

I dont notice any pixelization but the freezes in image are very well noticed.

PS: im changing to original now. I send you the video info soon.

@The_Ripper & moicas3004

Since moicas3004 has expressed an interest in helping but doesn't have a coding background, would it be possible to involve him with bug tracker? Someone needs to be responsible for actually testing/confirming bug reports and providing that info to the team as well as providing feedback on bug tracker as to which issues are considered resolved, still open, etc. I recognize that unless one has access to all 4 receivers, it could be difficult to personally duplicate each bug report exactly however he could still act as an intermediary and provide info to the team and users.

Hi zfeet, this is good guide :

Ofcourse You dont need to use Ubuntu Server edition, You can do it with desktop version too.

I´m sorry but no, it´s not solved. Maybe some change in the driver can be implemented to make the tuner from first versions to work! Are we (1st version buyers) obliged to buy a new tuner?...
Do not forget that the first buyers believed in this box and payed a much higher price for that!... They must not be sacrificed for that...
I belive in your good work and confidence!

Hello everybody.
I've tried to understand a little the code (two .c files) of gstreamer-azbox-plugin (present here: _h**p://gstreamer-azbox-plugin.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/src/ ) and, although is hard enough for me, maybe I can do it a little with some effort and word around. I have some knowledge of C, maybe I can reach another level now.

But... Can someone tell me where are the major errors in that code? Because I dont know what is wrong exactly.

Thank you and Regards

the best thing to do is ask the team in SVN to add you as a contribuitor to the Media SVN.

After we have the media green screen fix im sure that some bug will be posted in the SVN.

I think that some of the thing to be done is the fast foward and fast back on MKV ( and avi ) and some few issues.
