EPG or subtitles not working Newnigma 3.0.2

Hi guys,

I have just upgraded to newnigma 3.0.2 and cannot find the EPG Import plugin or anything that resembles that anymore. Also, the plugin for subtitles has dissapeared.

I, also, tried to get EPG on gemini image, but no luck there either. Is something going on with Rytec EPG (so images' developrs don't bother anymore) or am I just being an idiot?

Not Using Newnigma2 for the Moment, But with New Dreamelite, Nemesis, Icvs, OoZooN, etc, Epg is working 100%, press menu -> setup, and you will see crossEPG, you need a hdd or usb to store cache.

Thanks passete, but I have changed so many images today and I just don't have strength to change again :)

Anyway, I've sorted out both of the issues. I do not know if there is a more simple root than the one I took, but I will outline what I did for all the poor souls who made the same mistake as I did (reflash from one image to another and loose both EPG and subtitles, I don't even know how I managed to mess it all up).

Newnigma 3.0.2 image.
For EPG you need to follow this link http://www.rytec.be/
Everything is explained there. You need to download xmltv file from the newnigma website, though. Install it all manully by telneting onto the box (you have to use opkg instead of ipkg command).
For subtitles you need to download 2sub from newnigmas website and install manually just like the files above.

Your instructions to get EPG working were very helpfull and I have followed the instructions on the rytec site. I have used dcc to transfer files into tmp folder but when installing it shows an error. Could you give me a bit more detailed instruction and explain what opkg and ipkg are and how I use them please.

im using pli 1 and i have epg set to 2 days and it all works fine , i dont have a hdd attached so its good if you havent got a hdd .

I've downloaded PLi but can't see how to download Cccam. I need to do this before using the epg. Could you tell me how to do this please.

try menu , plugins, green button , softcams and download cccam you require , im using 214 .
