hi all i recently purchased a pioneer vsx 920k av amplifier,
i used hdmi cable from sbox to ave amp, and hdmi out to tv.
if i am on nova cinema hd the front of amp shows STERIO
if i press info on sbox it appears to show sterio sound is being transmitted.
on my sky hd box pressing info tells me that dolby digital is being tranmitted for certain films/programs.
as i am new to spiderbox and my av amp i am not sure how i can tell if dd 5.1 is being broadcast.
i do not know wether the sbox hd 900 tranmits 5.1 down the hdmi cable for the amp to decode??? or if the optical cable is still needed as is the case with a sky hd box.
