motek problems

A friend of mine has had his dish and motek motor up for about 2 years now , problem free.

until now that is .... the dish was never alighne 100% so he cant use USALS , so i always store the sat possitions manualy.

it will let me store 3 sats and will flick to and from diffrent birds OK , until i put in a 4 th sat or i reboot the box then it forgets all the locations and moves all the way west or east depending on how it feels.

i know its not the box as i get the same error with mine and another box when connected to his dish, so is it new motor time or is there somthing i could do ?

PS he has a dm 800 (not clone) I have all so tested this with a dm500 and a technomate 1500

try maybe a reset on the motor press and hold the movement e>w button i think or some have a dedicated button,then allign the dish properly if you can mate,i know a few have had issues with diseqc motors and db 800 but mine was a breeze once long and lat were set properly

try using usals but adjust your latitude by a few degrees either way thats what i have to do as my dish is not spot on

sorry not the buttons the pinhole on the underside of motor drive it to zero then use something thin to press the reset button ,will blink orange then green when done will reinstall sat table to motor,maybe worth a try mate
