I use dreambox control centre v2.96 to sometimes ftp into my dreambox to edit and make changes to cccam config but for some reason now whenever I press the ftp tab to view the files no files show up. Any ideas what this might be.

You should Use Dcc for enigma2, More apropriate.
For your problem, maybe a Firewall issue, anyway, sometimes i need to close and re open Dcc to get acess to Ftp or to ftp files.

Ok, I got hold of dcc for enigma 2 and tried ftp again but with no joy. I really can't understand why I can't view the files when I press ftp It also takes a long time to connect to my router from the dcc display showing the pc, dreamdox and router. The connection indicator is always red from dreambox to router on the display picture. And I did unblock the firewall when xp prompted me. I think my dreambox may need a reset, but if I do a reset I will loose all my settings including cs settings. My dm800 has got enigma 2 but dcc is telling me in the protocol info:
Telnet Connected
FTP Connected
Enigma2 not detected (DM800, Functionality limited.

Is there an alternative way to get into my dm800hd?

Maybe a password or firewall issue or corrupted image !
Enigma2 not detected (DM800, Functionality limited.
This is not Normal, Disable your anti-virus and your firewall, restart Dcc.
Try another image ...

I disabled both firewall and antivirus and success, pressed the ftp tab and I was in. This is what the status said:
Telnet Connected
FTP Connected
Enigma2 detected (DM800)
Thanks for the help passete:respect-040:

Just done further tests and I only need to disable the firewall to access ftp.

Good to know mate !
Now you need to add a exception on your Firewall for Dcc.

I will try to find a way to allow windows xp firewall to accept dcc, if not I will just turn off the firewall. Anyway I don't go into my dreambox that often to edit files.

When you Started for the First Time Dcc, you didn't received a Security Warning From Firewall ?
When you get this Warning, just need to give acess and create the Rule, Once for all.

Yes I did get that rule and I allowed the firewall to unblock.
