Is it possible to connect to a D-Link DSL-G604T ADSL router with a
W-LAN? If so, what hardware will I need and what f/w and or plugin for
drivers.
I´ve managed to connect using a cable but would like to do it by Wi-Fi
to use the Nascam plugin.

s4000 plugs into the device, the device is configured for your wireless network, and brings the device onto your WLAN \ LAN

The S4000 supports many USB-WLAN Adapters there is a list with earlier formware.
I found the Technisat USB-WLAN adapter that came with my Technisat Freesat works the best but I'm sure Technisat don't actually make it.

Well.. Got the D-Link DWA 140 and set it up on my computor where it works perfectly.
Put it in the s4000 front USB and running running Nascam no joy. Running Xcam it says
no server found but Xcam setup complete.
Thoughts anyone on what I´m doing or not doing. (Time for a de-tech beer)

You need to put the Wireless USB dongle into the S4000 and cycle the power(switch it off on the rear power switch).
If the S4000 has the correct drivers for your dongle you should be able to go into the network settings and toggle the network type from ethernet to wireless. If it doesn't have the wireless option then it doesn't have the correct drivers for your dongle.
If wireless is shown then you need to scan for your wireless AP(access point) this will be your wireless network.
If its a secure network you will need to put in your login details.
Once logged in you should see the network details instead of zero's.

For me, this is what the forum is all about.
I followed all the instructions and can report that the D-Link worked perfectly on Nascam.
Many thanks to ColdAsICE (which is what my next beer will be) Afew more sucesses
like this and I´ll have a drink problem!
My next project is to find out how to watch the Icecrypt through WiFi in the other room.

Slightly glitchy on SD Nascam but perfect using my own card on Movies etc.
I don`t need Nascam but it was a bit of fun setting it up together with the WiFi.
Back to the golf!
