im guessing you can, IF the ICE lets you change the link, BUT the firmware wouldn't work as it will detetect your reseller is Icecrypt and not Octagon....if this was changed however using ART then im guessing it would work, i might even try it later.

Is there an Icecrypt equivalent of the website ColdasIce?

can I do it with maxiboot? Will I have to change reseller id first?

Icecrypt are in the process of setting up there own internet update. It isn't helpful telling other members to change reseller ID's because you "doubt" they will.
Mistakes in ID changing can and do happen.
Boot loaders do get wiped. I noticed that some of your previous posts are potential receiver killers which you never actually carried out yourself.
You actually waited until ART arrived leaving a newbies receiver killer without any form of health warning in the past posts.
All I'm saying is be careful with your advice and posts. I'm sure other members appreciate your experience and wealth of knowledge of this product but we was all newbies once.

Cold - i was only talking about changing reseller id's nothing more, not bootloaders.

i have changed mine from octagon to icecrypt many times, with no harm done.

i think it is assumed that if someone is attempting to do anything to their boxes at this level (beyond inbuilt functionality), then they know that they are doing something that risks bricking their box.

if i stuffed up my box after following someones advice on here, i wouldn't blame them, i would blame myself for fiddling in the first place.

BUT after all is said and done, i respect you and your invaluable input to this forum and would not want to give you the hump, so be assured, i will be more careful when posting in future mate.

cheers!

Sorry for the delay.
It seems like a few technical difficulties with hosting site blah blah blah.
Still working on an alternative site/solution.

Manikm!!!
The Icecrypt SW online web address is http://icecrypt.net/down
You will need to be using Icecrypt original firmware to use it of course.
Future firmware releases will have this address embedded. For present releases simple add this address in the network upgrade address line and select your model to download.
