LT6 and a half

Just me back again!! Thought I would play with this one for a change, but am even more puzzled. Have loaded several cams/addons etc and done manual install and it said all was fine. However, none of the cams are anywhere to be seen except as second room etc. Going Lt menu/scripts and it says they are there but says ' could not find a description' unlike the other addons. The ****** updater went in fine and has appeared on the plugins. What am I doing wrong? Many thanks for any help. Brain

Good morning to all of you and plenty of wishes for a great month.

As of today, the LTCam Installer will be removed from the next LT Image releases, and also the LTCAM Server is closed.

We have to comply with the rest of the Teams that have decided to do so with their images and not to became renegades of the Sat scene. All this is done in order to protect, you (our image users) and of course the LT Team members and LT-Forums as a board (apparently the owners also!). Till its clear that the Softcams are legal to use or distribute Dreambox images and giving the easy way to download Softcams with a click of a button, this situation will stay as it is now.

I am pretty sure that all of the LT-Image users, have a know-how regarding the installation of a CAM and that there were not be any major issues. On the other hand, everyone has the option to ask freely inside the forum, how to create the appropriate scripts and also place the needed files in their needed location.

If you want to be a Dreambox user, the least you need to know, is how to operate it....!!!

Yeah - I read all that but -and I quote - 'everyone has the right to ask freely inside the forum' etc. and that is what I thought I was now doing. I know there is no download and I am attempting to learn more about my 8000, hence the question about needed files and locations here. Sorry if I appear a bit thick. Cheers - Brain

I was like you a while back but I found what I like with an image and now stick with it.

I can't help with LT as never tested it but if you have any emu script for it then we can make it work for you.

Have a look around and see what you can find.

Yeah - I was just trying to find out more about things I have got lazy with - hence the move to use PP2.2 as it was easy to run things and now trying to extend my paltry knowledge. Since the updater went in OK I was just puzzled why the others came up with the funny message and I cant write script/machine code. Quailman has sent me a starting point which I will try later. I couldnt get the green/yellow thing to bring anything up either as you suggested on the Blackhole but wont give up. It was all so easy really with the 7000 -!! I got lazy!! LOL - Thanks Brain
