Hdci 2000

I have a Humax HDCI 2000 which has no sound o/p from the HDMI port but has a perfect hd picture. Both sound and pictures are okay from the scart o/p,I have loaded the HDXSCI_V10016 firmware but no difference, any suggestions would be appreciated. Is there a patched firmware available for this model?.

Hi pie.
Although I have now replaced my HDCI2000 + Diablo for a Spiderbox 9000 HD Combo...
The HDCI200 was my first sat ever. It was great, although limited in some respects...
As far as I know there was never any patched firmware (with extra features), I am afraid.
I never had any HDMI sound issues. Although I have just googled for it and it looks as if some people did have the problem.
Try this:
Do not connect both Scart and HDMI at the same time.
Unplug Scart, leave only HDMI cable.
Switch HDCI200 off with the button at the back... wait... switch it back on... Good luck.

the hdci2000 has problems with high symbol rates of 30000 unless you use firmware version 11 .
