Hi

Can anyone advise, if it is an asy task to remove my existing Technomate 5400 CI Plus and replace with a Spiderbox 9000HD? I am also using a V box to move my 1.2 Metre Channelmaster dish. Anybody near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, who I could confer with? any info would be very much appreciated. At my time of life do not wish to have anything to challenging.

Hello
Just swapped my TM600 Super for the Spiderbox 9000HD
Plenty of HD channels to watch

It is easy, but before you disconect the tm, note down the sat number on the vbox for each sat.
ie hotbird "1", atsra 28 "6"
then when loading set the same numbers as the TM any you will not have to find the sats.
For me I have the same sat numbers on many recievers.
If you have a remote for your vbox it can also be done by choosing the sat on vbox, then chosr sat on spiderbox save sat but give it the same number as you already have on the vbox.
So get a bit of paper go to each sat on your tm and note the number down.
wait till you have new box,
when loading give sat same number.

I or others can walk you through the menus when you have the box
basicly
Menu
Instalation ( pic of dish)
Motor Set up ( code 0000)
Choose sat
send vbox to sat with its remote
at coms yellow button
choose sat number as your list as you just send dish to
save ( ok)
go to next on list an
send dish coms same number etc

Hello

Many thanks for replies up to date.VR8 has certainly given me the facts, when I get the new Spider, I feel I can perhaps understand and apply. Your tip on ensuring sat numbers on VBOX are noted is excellent idea. Being 80 years young it will certainly take me a little longer to master the set up than you young guys, but nothing ventured nothing gained. One final question, will the cables from the Vbox to the Technomate have to fit similar connections on rear of Spiderbox? Many thanks for all your help

should be one coax cable with f connector on the back of the tm , just disconnect it and reconnect to spider
