Does anybody know what the internal card reader device name is in RC7?

In RC4 it was /dev/sc0 but this no longer seems to be the case....

Just installed.
Indeed DVB-T is working! thanks!

However the no audio problem is still there.
And the screen aspect ratio is still wrong.
(i used my backup of RC6 in RC7, or is that the prob.?)
Zapping is also faster, and camd is now in the plugins menu, not in the main menu anymore.
But it looks like its not as stable as RC6, but coming day's will tell...

Also a request if possible. :respect-064:
Is it possible to add the network browser plugin to the firmware.?
I used a modified fstab file but for some reason it isn't working anymore from RC4 i think...

Take Jazup 2.0 to install. It's very easy to do it.

ripper is finishing twin tunner feature and then he will fix all bugs. no more drivers to be done :)

Hello brx,

You can look here https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=139978&page=2 to recove your azbox.
After use jazup 2.0 to upgrade E2 is more secure, I promise.

Yes, if modify the /tuxbox/config/terrestrial.xml file, make a new section with an linux editor (example pspad ):

<terrestrial name="DVB-T my" flags="5">
<transponder centre_frequency="610000000" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>
<transponder centre_frequency="666000000" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>
<transponder centre_frequency="850000000" bandwidth="0" constellation="3"/>
</terrestrial>

and at DVB-T tuner setting select the "DVB-T my" list, and after working the automatic scan. (bandwith 0 = 8 MHz )

Great work !

- CIFS mount corruption has been fixed
- mediaplayer seems more stable but still doesn't like MKV and WMA files too much
- 23,5E glitch is fixed
- Seems faster in zapping
- Volume button issue is driving me crazy :-)
- Aspect ratio issue not fixed, but don't care since TV takes care of that.

Thanks for the great developing work! I was thinking of selling my Azbox and buying a DM800HD instead but thanks to your fantastic work I am keeping it.

This is my first time trying E2 as was waiting for DVB-T support
Am using a Premium.
Installed OK using jazup onto usb.
DVB-T was working OK for almost a day but now showing 0%. I tried a rescan but no channels were picked up. Scan was really slow as well.
Have had some audio problems when zapping as well.

What can I do to get DVB-T tuner working again?

Also tried returning to official firmware to see if tuner would work again but cannot get back.

Here is log from Jazup, it doesn't seem to recognise RC7 that I used to upgrade as an official frmware???

JaZUp! is connected to your AZbox IP: 192.168.1.9

Your AZbox kernel is Enigma2

Your AZbox is in rescue mode
KernelSize -> 6807552

Your AZbox CPU mode is normal

Description Kernel : #14_Feb25

Sorry, this is not an official kernel...
Disconnect

JaZUp! is disconnected from your AZBOX

Any help would be appreciated as SWMBO (She who must be obeyed) is not a happy camper with me right now.

@GalwaySat

Hello,

With JAzup 2.0, put you in rescue mode and use this file...
http://www.azbox-enigma.eu/upload/Back_to_Official_FW.rar
Use the "Restore official Boot" button. We test the validity of file to avoid to send anything to AZBOX and brick it.

With Jazup 1.3, put you in rescue mode with official patch.bin on memory stick.
Use button Update...

After you fallen on the upgarde official menu.

Regards

Hectore.

Anyone have idea how to install E2 on a Azbox with a dead ethernet port? Is there a way to install E2 RC7 with USB stick?

Thanks again guys, it worked following Hectore's file.:respect-055:

Got it back to original fimware and DVB-T working again.

Did try a factory reset in E2 and one final scan for terrestrial channels before I went back but again it failed to see any channels.

Just wondering if anybody else had a problem with their DVB-T tuner?

Are you trying to get RTE on T tuner ?

pick up RTE here but with sound problems have to zap up down to fix on RC9

happyhammer

sound problem is not just with T tuner. zapping up and down normally fixes it.

I have Irish channels on dvb-t tuner as well

zeini

In A/V settings set Audio-buffer and Video-buffer to 500 ms (or 750ms) instead 250 ms. And the most sound problems would been disappered.

Yes I had the RTE channels. The initial scan picked them up fine and they were working OK, then after about 20 hours / next day nothing. Just zero % signal.

So are you saying RTE / DTT channels working OK in RC9? If so I may give it a try again.

happyhammer

i'm on RC9 and Irish DTT channels work. you will have the bug with the audio and it takes on or two channel switches to get it back.

Oh, excuse me. This is really the RC7 talk. But now we have RC9. And I will all say - take RC9, this is a lot better than RC7.
