Hi guys
I have always had the DVD working seamlessly on other images, but even with DVD player plugin downloaded and opening, the dvd stubbornly refuses to play? Anyone any ideas? Thanks - Brain

I appear to have solved it - go to software management/packet management and install task-opendreambox - Enigma 2 dependencies or dvd. All running fine now. Cheers - Brain

Yes, answer from nemesis Forum :

Dvd player works good in this image.

You must install:

task-opendreambox-DvdPlayer (for dvd)
task-opendreambox-CdPlayer (for cd)

you can find it by pressing two times blu button - packet management

Didn't test it yet, but i have another bug, devices manager, don't find any usb stick, sd card and compact flash, even if barry allen is running on 1 usb stick.

Yup - I have found the same - I thought it was the memory stick so was going to buy another - the Cruzer I was going to use may not be a good idea and there were always issues with certain sticks on the 7000 series. The same packet lists have a shed load of drivers so I will try to buy a stick that matches one of those since I have tried loading the general loaders for common sticks and no success.Trying to format and boot also doesnt work but it did on earlier versions - the updates seem to have caused this. Interestingly I also have no flash memory showing on the system information panel!! Think I have moved all flash to HDD!! Still - the DVD is going great with my earlier solution!! I love the image but while there do seem to be some issues it is still a good one. I still wish Meoboot coud be updated to use instead of BA at times. Cheers - Brain

I have a 32mb swapfile running on my USB stick in the lower USB slot of my DM 8000 after flashing 2.2 and updating the software. I cant remember doing anything special to get it working although I did spend some time looking for something to tell it to mount and format it without finding it.
I also installed the NTFS plugin and it reads my USB hard drive with both FAT32 and NTFS partitions from the front USB slot via media player. I definitely didnt have to do anything for it to see that as I just plugged it in and switched the power on and it was listed in media player.

I have just been looking through the settings on my dreambox and I think I must have gone into the system utility, (blue button then red), then down to Manage Devices. My USB stick shows up under USB Pen Setup(sdc). I guess I then clicked on mount and then format but as it was late on when I got to that stage I cant be certain.

Yup - I too had it running fine with other images but havent managed to get the Nem one to format or mount it hence my thoughts that perhaps the Cruzer one was not a good idea. Wil try another and see how I get on. What you did is what I have sought to do but no joy and I get error messages. Cheers - Brain
