old vantage with 4444 error code

hi chaps
found today my combo xt200ts combo seems tohave bitten the dust.... completely locked , just gives 4444 error on read out. wont flash , connects , runs to 2% with winup....then locks ?
Any suggestions , or have i had my 4 years worth....
bearing in mind its been left on for 4 years!

That error I got once on X221S CI after loading it with firmware modified from other receiver ( clone presumably). I guess you should try to load it with whatever original firmware ( using WinUp 2.6). If it doesn't work with one software try with another. If you use USB--RS232 converter it is better to use normal RS232 port if you can
