2GB FAT16 - works fine (except on power off/on it reconnects as a USB, but that is easy to fix.

I've inserted an 8gb SD HC by Integral as it came cheap. Never use ADATA
SD as it will stop DBs booting. Certainly the 1GB SD I have won't work in
DBs, so I stick to Integral. Having said that have not had time as yet to
do much with the 8000 other than get it running.

You will be lucky if your 8gb work on your 8000 !
My 8000 don't recnogise any SDHC, only normal SD (max size 2gb)

Will have to set up multi boot when I have the time but reads as SD/MMC. Thought the HC might be faster. Used to use 1gb flash on 7020or 4gb USB stick. Luckily have cheap source for SD post free.

original OP was about CF .. then decided to change it to SD - so which is it? SD or CF?? Read somewhere sometime ago, SD has limitations, never tried one on the box.

My original box which is one of the early ones wont read an SD card bigger than 2Gb. I know that a clone 8000 will read a SDHC card so possibly a more recent genuine box will as well?
