High symbol rate channels.

Evening all,

Have a 4000hd, using the latest firmware, wondering does anyone else get picture breakup on channels that use a high symbol rate, for example PLtv on 10e which uses 30000 and also HD channels on 28e, anything on up to 27500 seems ok.

on bulsat this used to happen on Film+ - but someone said it was timing issue on the MCAS EMU plugin....

we need a FTA high SR channel to see for sure.

I don't have any picture break up on the PL HD channel on my S4000. Its not an MCAS issue as the PL is FTA at the moment.
Could be signal as this satellite is on the weak side compared to the others near it. What size dish do you have?
I'm using a 1.2metre Channel Master so its a cracking signal.

what SR is PL HD?

Yes, thought it might be signal strength, but getting SQ around 80%, the SR on this transponder is 30000.

Think i might go back to .75 firmware and try that.

since updating the firmware I get it on 28e , had it last night on bbc1HD and c4HD which are fta ( and I dont get it on the spiderbox or dreambox or sly HD box so its not the dish )

Still got it on .75 firmware, going back to .94, will check BBCHD and ch4 HD later. I dont get it on Cyfra on 13E. Will also check PL tv on my spiderbox.

Checked BBCHD and ch4 HD no problems with them, PLTV on spider also OK, getting a little picture breakup on Icecrypt.
