Hello,

I would like to access the recorded files on the S4000 Hard Drive with a PC.

I have attempted access by using the Icebox network ip in browser address bar (192.168.2.9/NET) and then using the default u-name "root" when requested.

However, "not found" is the result.

Does anybody know the correct way to go about this?

moved to the correct forum from the file section

access the icecrypt using an ftp program like fireftp or flashfxp , and then access the storage area , go to the hdd and the files are on there , you can transfer mp3 or divx files to the icecrypt hdd or transfer recordings from the icecrypt

its well worth accessing the icecrypt using the kinkdink installer first to make sure ftp is working , using a suitable name and pass

usually root for name , and no pass so enter anything , if you havent set a password on the icecrypt

the use the same details with the ftp program of your choice like me

ps:- HD is High Definition , hdd is hard disk drive , you have used both i the description

its important to use hdd when referring to the hard disk drive using initials , so not HD as per your title thread

or you can UNC to the box which i do often and just drag the files out...

if pc on your LAN, from a PC just goto Start, Run,

\\192.168.0.X\storage\hdd

(from memory)

even if you just type the ip address and hit return - 2 shares will come up, it should be obvious when you see them.
