I gave up on PLTV today and switched to Diema on 39e. The picture on PLTV was fine for a few seconds and then seemed to get jerky like it was missing every other frame?
Tm6900HDsuper combo. Anyone else got this problem.?
(I get a very good signal on 10e)

Try changing from PAL to NTSC in a/v settings.

Do you mean on the TM box or the TV ?
On the TM I only get PAL in AV output settings (i.e. PAL1, PAL B/G, PAL D/K)

Which patch mate - but I also notice a certain amount of jerkiness with 740P, but not with 726P where audio is synced correctly too unlike 740P!
Trouble with 726P you lose Bulsat, ORF & TNT!:iagree:

@ Holmrod, Yes I remember the sound sync problem. Because of the jerkyness I am never on there long enough to notice!!
I remember once before when two patches gave different options I just loaded the two onto a USB stick and changed as required, took about 30 seconds if I remember right. I will try that.

Good luck mate - and pls let us know YOUR findings to add to the list of variables!!:respect-055:

Finally got round to trying 726p on USB for PLTV, BUT I cant find it? Done a search of Pimps still no go. Can anyone direct me to 726 please.

Well personally I'm using 737P which gets rid of the jerkiness but does have the audio sync prob, as 726P is perfect for PLTV in EVERY way but you can;t get Bulsat as I said earlier - and I feel you need that as a back-up/other match option on Sat afternoons where you get TWO matches to choose from albeit not in HD!:respect-055:

Does 726p still exist anywhere?????????????

@oldjiver:-
Try this version of 726P, but remember Bulsat, ORF, etc won't work with it - plus remember the add-on & latest softcam!:respect-055:

@Holmrod,
!!!!!! Yes 726p works fine with PLTV. I really appreciate you posting it. I have put 726 and 740 (plus latest softcam) on a USB stick and measured how long it takes to change patches. It takes one minute twenty seconds. No hardship for what it gives I reackon. I usually keep a USB stick plugged in anyway to catch anything I want to record quickly. I have a 500 gig ext disc but dont use it much.
So on match days I will check LJs and switch as required, GREAT!!
(for as long as it lasts!!):respect-055:

@oldjiver:-
Thats great mate, glad its helped you, funnily enough I too have lots of patches on my memory stick and can therefore chop & change - I only wish our good friend Phantom could change the latest patch 740P to incorporate whatever it is in 726P to give us a perfect 741P new patch? I suppose there MUST be some good reason for it, maybe the ORF, TNT & Bulsat etc somehow use up space within the patch to prevent this - or more probably it's a lot more complicated than that!!
Maybe admin could move the patch to the correct section (Firmware) as I responded here to a direct request and apologise if I have broken the rules by posting it in a 'discussion' thread?:respect-055:

I am using 740p on my TM6800HD Super and I had noticed that, when I recorded something from PLTV, there was no picture jerkiness on playback. I therefore decided to try watching the Spurs v WBA game using the "pause live TV" feature (press PAUSE to freeze the picture and start recording, then PAUSE again to resume watching from where you were). This eliminated all of the picture jerkiness, but there were some minor glitches on the sound (not audio sync problems).

Of course, this remedy will work only if you have a hard disk drive connected.

Thanks for the feedback mate, that's very interesting, but just another question for you, did the audio stay in sync on the 'recording' playback (live pause etc) as that is also a big issue here?
Think we all assume Phantom tried to correct the audio sync problem on 740P but at the same time created the jerkiness, so did you notice if the audio stayed in sync with the video too please bamber mate?:respect-055:

The sound was in sync with the picture on playback (thought I had made that clear by saying that the sound glitches were not an audio sync problem).

And I presume a USB stick will do as well for the pause rather than a hard disc?

Yes mate, think it's only on the TM6900HD Super series where we are experiencing this confounded jerkiness - all on 10E as being discussed in this thread!:respect-055:

this is a very good finding m8 and i tried and its working OK on my TM6900HD Super with patch 739p, I've posted this in another forum i hope you don't mind

True, but on 739P the audio gradually goes out of sync!
726P is only patch on 'normal' play which is perfect in EVERY way on PLTV 10E!:respect-055:

I don't mind at all mate, just glad to be of help to fellow TM users. By sharing our experiences we all benefit.

I've tried "bamber" method and sound was in sync with the picture with 739p patch. my way is I press pause-> record 10 seconds -> press pause and works

Yes I know what you both mean Tony and its certainly better than nothing, but its still a shame we have to actually 'do' all this to obtain an unjerky audio synced transmission, albeit 10 secs off being truly 'live'? lol!!!:respect-055:

Actually, no digital TV channel is truly "live" because the processing of the signal prior to transmission adds a few seconds' delay, then your receiver adds a few more seconds to process the signal into a picture. The delays are longer with HD than with SD transmissions.

To appreciate just how much delay is there, try watching a football match while listening to the commentary on an analogue radio channel.

Yes but you know what I mean mate, we shouldn't really have to rely on a PVR/playback facility to get round a software quirk - plus what about those who don't actually have it anyway?:respect-055:
