Don't be so grumpy, Barney. The money brought in by extra foreign tourists this week will far outweigh the cost of the wedding.

What I can't understand is the fascination with our royal family in the rest of Europe. I did a quick check of channels and found the wedding being shown live by the major state broadcasters in France, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. There were probably others as well.

I then went back to painting the garden fence.

Thank god the RAF did the 'flypast', if it had been the USAF, it would have been 'friendly fire' carnage along the Mall ;)

It may have cost a few million but divide that by the number of viewers and it will work out at few pence each

yea she looks old she did appear to be enjoying the reaction from the crowds though ,anyone who says the monarchy is dead should think again, what i do think will help is if prince charles skips his reign and hands it straight on to william,i still think theres alot of deep seated resentment to him and camilla over the diana saga

Don't waste your breath Keith. You enjoyed it, I enjoyed it, 2 billion people enjoyed it. Anyway the wedding cost a fraction of the cost of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and that's where we should be saving money.:chillpill:

he didn't have to fork out a penny for his wedding and yet ur everyday punter has had to fork out a lolly to get married.
