8000 Card Readers

Hi,

just took delivery of a DM8000 supplied by our sponsors with their usual
promp efficiency - thankshttp://www.pistonheads.com/inc/images/clap.gif

Currently running the latest Oozoon image, my problem is I have 2 genuine Viaxxss subscription cards but no working card slots.

Can't see the option to download & install a plugin for this, have tried to install an ipk of cccam but doesn't appear in any plugin or blue button menushttp://www.pistonheads.com/inc/images/rolleyes.gif

Any help would be greatfully receivedhttp://www.pistonheads.com/inc/images/biggrin.gif

Some progress, found loads of userscripts inc the one's I need, but suspect they need chmod 755 so still require the file location.

I would recommend you to use newnigma2 image i use it its great and cccamd works out of the box you just ftp your cfg to /etc

I don't know which version you want, i post here the 2.1.3 version !

Ftp to tmp, press blue button and install it, then follow what Quailman wrote !

PS: and indeed, you have much easyer versions to start playing with, nemesis, newnigma, etc...

As a newbie to the box I have great sympathy with the getting used to it proceedure, and the guys helped me a lot on here. As Passete says try the nemesis image 2.2 083, or the Peter Pan one 2.3. Both will run beautifully in flash and the nemesis has an extra download for cams, and the PP still has online downloads. i know some frown on all this here but it does make life easy till you get around the box and all its fun features. Once the cam is in just blue button - choose cam and start - all my cards work fine with cccam as Quailman says. the script bit with oozoon wont be a problem once you master it though. Once cam is in go to user scripts and start the cccam one - it will run then. Have great fun with the box. It is great - Brain

Thanks for all the help guys, will try the other images as you advise but have got blu ray drive on order & have read that Oozoon has support for mts2 files.

there is no direct support for Bluray on ANY dreambox

have read that Oozoon has support for mts2 files.
Any image using driver version 3.1.0 and onwards has m2ts support. This driver was released on the 23rd of March
