Spiderbox 9000hd how does it work

I am thinking of getting one of these but how does it work. Is it a patch and updating files to the box and if it is what programmers will i need.

Is anything used via internet for decoding channels or is there any cam that maximises the box. Is there any advantage in getting the twin tuner with terrestrial channels.

Sorry to be a thick ****e but this is a new area for me after years of the hummy 5400.

Same here m8,very apprehensive about this box and setting up,in fairness

they say its simple to set up,and the benefits are enormous,my m8 has one

and if I get into any problems with it I am sure he will help me out....

So I am thinking of getting one in August when I come back from holidays..

same again here thinking of spider box or protek box but dont know which as less freezing;]

spiderbox is dead simple to setup using usb stick for updating etc

depending on your broadband speed,quality of your sat setup,,,shouln't get any freezing much,,spiderbox 900hd is so easy to setup i didnt know ide set it up right till i got to 16east,,unlike linux it's a joy,,my opinion only:sifone:

as echelon as stated read the spider section,trust me if you cant get it up and running in half hour max,then there is something seriousley wrong
easiest box i have ever used and i have owned a fair few over the years.
most difficult part is deciding what to watch

A small amount is via a softcam same as other recievers can get,
It has cam and card slots but they are not needed.
Most of the channels come via internet passing on the codes, all automatic, so you do nothing just watch.
The reciever does need to be conected to your router to see these channels. best via rj45 cable but there are wireless options.
As you learn you can add extra channels from other freinds:respect-055:
Its like a plug and play linux box without the hasles.

I recently bought a 7000HD same as the 9000HD without the Cam slots and am very impressed.

Very easy to set up and the ccam is very very stable with cable BB.

Glitches a bit with a USB BB dongle via a 3g Router but then you wouldn't expect the Dongle to be able to match the cable BB.

The 7000HD is quite cheap as well!

7000 has 1 scart , no CI slot and no rf output modulator

9000 has 2 scarts , CI slot and rf modulator

it lasts as long as it lasts , its that simple

at the moment there is no extra gift purchase available
