What is new ?

- Card Reader OK

- New MediaCenter OK ( Menu -> Media Center, choose My Videos and wait 10-15 seconds to re-initialize HDMI!!!, for subtitles *.SRT press red button or SUB-T on RCU, they need to be named same as movie )

- Audio BUG Fixed

- A lot of other bugs fixed and so on.

- Time for zap - reduced

- VOL +/- Fixed

- MUTE(when change ch.) - Fixed

- Lost data when power off/on - Fixed

- Problem with relaod ch.list - Fixed

- Problem with external messages - Fixed

- New/rewritten WebIf

- NEW driver for RemoteControl - work like a charm

- New way for go to rescue mode - press and hold VOL+ button (from front panel or RemoteControl) during AZBox booting

- Removed DOM to be listed as HDD in Enigma2 Info, and now DOM is excluded from standby so COGs will show less.

In Media Center we know that Seeking is not working and VOL UP and DOWN, so please do not report this as BUG, it will be fixed in next release!

Link will apparently be available soon... They are working on it...

Hello,

Yes, you put your azbox in rescue mode.
You put a orignal firmware on your usb stick pluged in your azbox
After you flash the original kernel with jazup2.2.

Join the club. I went back to OFW. But there is good movement this time. A good beta version, I think. If they sort out the bugs - nice...

Hectore, telesat claims that JAZUp 2.2 doesn't work, that it throws mistakes. Is he correct in saying that? The format hasn't changes since the last time, I think.

The problem with play MKV movie. Film block once after 10 mins sometimes after 20 that you are currently working on the film (The.Rite.2011.1080p.BluRay.X264-AMIABLE.mkv) but also in other films behave similarly. The same thing happens to me on official firmware a film currently on V1.0 is an internal 80GB hard disc and has a 7.65 GB As far as other works v1.0 works great for me.
If someone has a quality solution please help.

Azbox Premium 80GB internal hard disc

That's funny, i develop and test JaZUp! with Windows Seven 64Bit and i test it also with Linux 64bit platform.
Do you install 64bit JVM on your pc ?

Jazup is wrote in java, this language is multiplatform... Windows/linux 32 and 64 bit and Mac.

Telesat is jealous of success and stability of Jazup, that's all...
When you install with azup v2.07, your dom is at 88% of use.
When you install with Jazup 2.2, your dom is at 17% of use !

However, isn't 51.6MB more than 17% of 256MB of RAM that AZ has?

Hello,

KernelSize -> 6584320 bytes
FirmwareSize -> 47542272 bytes
Total = 54126592

256Mb = 268435456 bytes
((100/268435456)*47542272) = 17,71%

Nb : Kernel isn't on the DOM. You have a other memory flash on the motherboard.

Hectore and all the other pros, I have a question...

Let's say that - for the sake of an argument :D - CrossEPG works flawlessly, Subtitles plugin by Damir works flawlessly, MountW*i*z*a*r*d works flawlessly etc. Let's say that one wants one's box to be all it can be, so one installs all those plugins and so on.

Would we need a SWAP file, in that case? Would it help?

Should we mount a USB memory stick and put the SWAP file on it, together with XMLTV/crossepg folder, so all of CrossEPG files go there, subtitles are also placed there, picons folder is there, too and whatever else might be better off there, so we don't clog-up the memory, which, if I remember correctly, in the plugins department was around 40% free, before one starts downloading things...

What would be the best course of action?

Hectore
01-06-2011, 05:01 PM
Hello,

You have a swap partition on your dom when you install E2 with jazup.
Now if you want more space on your dom, you must take a larger dom. (1GB is enough). You can take a SD adaptator to replace your original dom. it's cheaper that a real dom. Look after on €b@y.

When you install e2, jazup detect that your dom is larger that 256Mb and create a extended partition.

Regards.
Hectore

Blagi
01-06-2011, 05:59 PM
OK, how big is that SWAP partition created by JAZUp, please [I am back to OFW, so can't check]?

Also, what about my other questions, re. all the other applications that require some space, so...

You see, we all have a USB stick lying around but we don't have a larger DOM about...

Thanx!

Doume
01-06-2011, 07:45 PM
The problem is'nt the swap, but available space into root filesystem

I think Azup creates a wrong partitioning, reducing this available space
But Jazup do it fine....

does anyone know why don' t work the openvpn in RTI V1, while working at RC12 ;

Blagi
01-06-2011, 09:29 PM
Yes, Doume but there is a lot to be put somewhere:

-picons could go in excess of 40-50 MB alone
-subtitles - depending on the person...
-XMLTV - well, again, depending on how many providers and for how many days one chooses EPG to be downloaded - but it may well be in tens of MB, too...

And so on...

Hence, recognising and mounting a USB memory stick is important, it seems to me.

Then, in each of those plugins [CrossEPG etc.] one needs to send those folders to USB memory stick...

That, to my mind, might free some memory and make it all faster and more stable...

Am I wrong, on the level of principles?

Egyptian, thanks mate! :respect-051:
I've installed RC6 then used backto official patch.e2. then installed official (not really but its running) :D
The reason I've downgraded its not the card reader, tho it would be nice to have that updated sci driver for future.
It's because while playing MKV with DTS sound - after a few minutes sound goes bad and then
the picture disappearing for a few seconds and so on.. quite unstable and I'm trying to play that file on official fw

I think you can't write in NTFS on linux.

On regular linux you can edit the fstab file to this;

/dev/sda1 /mnt/windows ntfs-3g defaults 0 0

but I have not checked if ntfs-3g is included in the drivers or if it is possible to make install of it..
