Phantom 741p for 6900HD Super

P.S. An hour ago I tested the official TM fw 741 on my TM-6900 HD Combo Super and was amazed by its 7-days EPG on Greeks terrestial ch's and even on ZDF on Astra1.
I had only now and next option on these ch's program guide so far...

Ok, just tested this patch (741P) and as far as i can see the 7-day EPG doesn't work on 28east and the sync/jerkiness problems on PLTV 10east is still there so I won't be using this one. Thanks for the effort though.

the only way i got the epg to work was to go to 11776 v and use channel 8010 (thats the name it shows on mine) press on the epg button on the receiver then wait a minute (if you don't press on the epg for me it didn't work also) and then go to another channel for it to work. though i think it a bit poor epg as it doesn't give much program detail only tells you what on and it also crashed a couple of times for me using this patch (mybe that why it took longer to release as it seem a bit unstable for me) as the hd channels was a bit jerky also

Well as I said in my other thread (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=149432) about patch 741P, I've found that the 7 day EPG DOES works for ME, but a little erratically, so the following two days (the first two out of the seven) don't seem to work very well but the days 3-7 most certainly DO work, for me that is!
You do have to follow the instructions Phantom posted with the patch:-
1-7days EPG (28e UK)
a- turn on a stb
b- move to 11778 on Astra2
c- wait for a minute
d- move to other channels

2-DD+ no sound
3-Can***** updating
4-TNTsat updating
5-BisTV updating
6-Neotion CAM updating

Thats how i got this working last night. But i can't open any HD channels after EPG updates.

This patch also seems to make Channel 4 HD jerky - this is a shame as I was hoping it would solve the sound synch problem with this channel. I'll give it a good shot, but feel I might revert to 737p

Not sure, but I believe that 7-days EPG was implemented in original TM firmware, not only in patch. So, not a Phantom problem if it doesn't work.

The EPG works fine on greek terrestial ch's and on many channels on Astra1,give it 1-2 minutes to load correctly though.
No problems on HD ch's here,except EPL at 10'E.
I was very satisfied from the patch,I think it's better than previous ones.
Notice that I load official TM 741 fw first and then after a factory reset the Phantom patch.

updated to 741p not been very good channel4 hd jerky as stated by knockjohn
updating epg on 28e not as good as experianced with standard 741
so going back to standard 741 and using diablo2 again..
no doubt a fix will appear before too long thanks to phantom

I would like to say firstly, a big thanks to Phantom for the hard work and secondly, I am in no way showing a lack of gratitude for other people's work and help. Just wanna make that clear - I wish I had the talent to be able to do it. Obviously the things that don't "work" in this patch are down to TM and not anyone else. Thanks again peeps.

Yes mate, that's what I said in my first reaction - what exactly ARE Canal sat channels, do we mean C+ Ned on 19E remaining ones e.g. RTL7 etc - and what is meant by 'Biss TV channels' - are they on 13E, but will have to investigate further!:frown:

I thought BisTV meant the French package which broadcasts on 19e and 5w but I can't open either of them.

I wasn't sure if Can***** referred to the Dutch package or the French package on 19e, but again I can't open either.

As this text also comes with the non patched software 741 on the TM site - I took it to read that the box's card reader will update official cards for these packages rather than opening up the packages.

I think you are right mate - that's the conclusion I've come to too, especially as TNT on 19E has stopped opening again today despite opening yesterday - so they are still messing us about!
Yes I believe too that the text with the patches was a little misleading, i.e. none of TNT, C+ Ned or Biss TV seem to be opening and it MUST therefore be to allow their respective cards to work in the TM slots!:respect-040:
