Firmware .20 for s4000 today

Loaded the new firmware .20 just now and there is a problem with
Mcas on the plugin. I put it on auto to start and then started Mcas. Put the
white card in and Mcas stopped running! Disaster.

I tried re loading Mcas after deleting what was on but no joy.

Reloaded f/w .94 and it all works beautifully.

Help with fingers crossed.

I have upgraded my box but did not factory reset either before or after

if I have any problems I will do so and then reload channel lists and plugins etc after backing them all up

as for the white card , I have never used mine in the box as its fed from my dm800 over the lan , so havent tried it

Backed up service and system deleted the plugin and did a factory reset and then loaded new f/w.

I then loaded the service and system data and the the plugin.

The I set the Mcas to auto tried to start Mcas. No joy.

It would activate the card if I powered off the stb and repowered but would then drop
out.

I then reloaded f/w .94 without doing anything else and Mcas and the card are
now running perfectly.

It looks as if the new f/w .20 has a problem with Mcas and/or the plugin.

Anyone else having this problem? Solutions will be much appreciated.

ps im using v1.09.20 of the Octagon software, and an old MCAS runs fine.

dropping out on me too as I just tested it , and I am using one of the older mcas plugins as I havent altered it ( or tried it before with a white card or any card )

slots show as empty , card works ok in spiderbox and sly box , so its not the card

xcam works fine from dm800

Is there a blue button option in the EPG menu in octagon f/w, meaning-can u download the OpenTV EPG data? I know that the Atevio version does not come with it. Would be interested to know.

to be honest it isn't worth changing, but i cant help myself experimenting sometimes, (i get bored)

i dont even watch sat tv, i just fiddle, i actually prefer tuning into feeds and blind scanning and such

The Mcas plugin I am using is the 05042011.

Will the 17 june plugin go straight on as the one above?

Still hoping for the fix as I will be doomed to the .94 f/w.

No. I have tried both Cyfra+ card (mediaguard) and whitecard. The same story, Mcas would not start.

Looking at it right now. Don't have Cyfra+ card though which makes it a little difficult.

i went back to my 1.09.20 Icecrypt firmware today to begin my E2 how to guide, and i noticed MCAS would not run, i was using an old MCAS, so i tried the JUNE 17th one, this did not work either, it didnt even start up.

soooo, i loaded up the AAF recovery tool 4.5, changed my reseller ID to Octagon, then installed the latest 1.09.20 Octagon f/w - booted up and MCAS works without issue.

what are icecrypt doing with their f/w's ???

In passing, the dear old Icecrypt has just gone a week without crashing and it´s the
first time I´ve had the EPG expire before reloading!

BINGO!!

f/w .20 and Mcas running with white card.

Initially it offered the IRQ number but on taking out the card and reinserting it,
then the premium channels cleared.

There is much joy in the land!
