ColdAsIce: Would is be possible to provide MD5 sums for images so that those of us of a more paranoid disposition can check the image for possible corruption before loading, please?

The bootloader will verify the image checksum first so if the image was corrupt the receiver wouldn't allow you to flash it in the first place.

That was what I thought until I trashed my system because of a faulty USB memory stick. I had to use the serial loader to restore normal operation. When I checked the file copied onto the memory stick, it had a different MD5 checksum from the downloaded file on my HDD.

I will from now on also include the MD5 checksum on future firmware releases.
