Nothing clearing with clines

A friend has obtained a new 7000HD and I'e been given the job of installing it - it's only connected to a S*y dish.
Anyway..
I loaded the latest patch, a channel list for 28E, enabled the network and entered 2 clines BUT although it says there are 198 cards connected nothing is clearing.
I disconnected his receiver and tried my 7000HD and used the same clines and everything works.

What have I done wrong?

my 9000hd never worked properly on the network using auto dhcp, so I gave it a fixed IP address and now everything is working fine, are you sure the gateway is set correctly? I have seen that blocking traffic.

Sorry for the delay in getting back.
Did what you suggested and assigned a fixed IP address and everything is fine now.
Strange though how my box would work and the other wouldn't both using the same router (not both at the same time).
Thanks and another lesson learned.
